What a tune-up is
A furnace tune-up is a scheduled inspection and cleaning before the heating season: the technician checks and cleans burners and the flame sensor, inspects the heat exchanger, tests safety controls, checks the igniter and blower, verifies gas pressure and airflow, and confirms the thermostat is reading correctly.
