Morningside's streetcar-era bungalows need era-appropriate HVAC

Morningside is architecturally unlike the rest of Edina: it was platted in 1905 by the children of Jonathan Grimes on the family's 55-acre farm and orchard, grew up as a streetcar suburb on the Como-Harriet line, and its several hundred single-family homes — many of them classic bungalows — were largely built between 1905 and 1936. The neighborhood even governed itself as the independent Village of Morningside from 1920 until it rejoined Edina in 1966, and today it remains a distinct district of roughly 750 homes.
