Indoor air quality (IAQ) is the mix of particulates, humidity, and fresh-air exchange in your home. In a cold climate the same tight construction that keeps heat in also traps dust, dander, cooking byproducts, and moisture. Three levers control IAQ: filtration (catching particles), humidity control (adding moisture in winter, removing it in summer), and ventilation (bringing in measured fresh air).
